WASHING
Turn garment inside out before washing (helps with pilling).
Machine wash cold (ideally 30°C/86°F or below) on a gentle cycle.
Use a mild, gentle detergent (preferably eco-friendly).
Wash with similar colors and soft fabrics (avoid denim or items with Velcro).
Avoid chlorine bleach or harsh chemicals. Use an oxygen-based bleach for whitening, if needed.
DRYING
The best method is to hang or lay flat to air dry (keep out of direct sunlight to prevent fading).
If using a machine, tumble dry on low heat and remove promptly while still slightly damp.
Medium heat can be used, but low heat is safer to prevent shrinkage.
Never use high heat as bamboo fibers are sensitive and prone to shrinkage.
For knitwear or accessories, dry flat to prevent stretching.
IRONING (If Needed)
If needed, iron on a low heat setting (a silk or low synthetic setting).
Using a steamer is a gentler alternative to direct ironing.
High temperatures can cause the fabric to scorch or yellow.
ADDITIONAL TIPS
Avoid fabric softeners and dryer sheets. They can leave a residue on the fibers, reducing bamboo's natural absorbency and softness over time.
Do not dry clean most apparel items.
Use vinegar in the softener dispenser as a natural alternative to help keep your garments soft and neutralize odors.
